We’re excited to start our own AWANA Club this fall. Groups will be offered to children from Cubbies (3’s and 4’s) through T & T 
(through 6th grade). Club will begin Tuesday, September 14, and be held from 6:15 to 8:15 pm. We’ll meet at the church building on the corner of Gay and Nevada. AWANA is a high-energy night filled with games, music, handbook time (scripture memory), and council time (a short message from God’s Word). Not only will it give our kids a strong foundation, but parents will also grow as they work with their children learning scripture throughout the week.
If you have questions about the program or are interested in helping out, call the church office (257-2924) and leave a message for Sheri Hagen or Pastor Floyd.
We’ll also continue AWANA Journey for High School students. This group will resume Thursday, September 16 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm in the Youth Room.
Don‘t miss a time of fun and fellowship on July 25th at the home of Randy & Jill Robbins as the Young Families Ministry has a BBQ. Call Kerrissa Schall at 251-8538 for more info.
Summer is here, which means we again have the opportunity to minister at the Lassen County Fair. We will be manning the ticket booths and gates, as well as handling the trash and restroom clean-up twice a day. This is a tremendous fundraiser for the CEFC Building Fund. It raises $8,000 yearly (that‘s $40,000 in the last five years!!). The fair runs Wednesday, July 21, through Sunday, July 25.
If you have not signed up to help, call the church office. We need ticket cashiers, ticket takers, counters, vehicle gate monitors and bathroom and garbage maintenance. Student Ministries also needs supplies and volunteers for the Indian Taco Booth. Please plan to help; we can‘t do it without you.
